It’s 4:20 a.m. Rather than sleeping in bed cuddled up with my wife and dog, I’m up. My mind is racing. I have so much I want to do! I need to read a few chapters from my textbooks for school. I have a few TV shows to catch up on.
But the thing that’s keeping me up so late…
…reading websites about making money online!
For almost eight years I’ve been reading about ways to make money online either through affiliate marketing, blogging, etc. I know it’s entirely possible, but I just haven’t made the plunge. I came across two interesting websites tonight.
The first is a site called prosper.com. Essentially, this is a site where you can either borrow or lend money to other people. The idea being, if you have a credit card with a 30% interest rate, you can go onto this site and find someone that will give you a loan for 15% to pay off that credit card. The person getting the loan cuts their interest rate in half, and the lender gets to collect 15% on their money. What savings account can accomplish that?? It’s a win-win situation, and it’s something to look into…
The second site is, well, several sites, but they all have to do with internet marketing. Essentially, you build web sites with the intended goal of landing high up in internet search engines. At that point, you can parlay these popular sites into money-making sites with advertising revenue and what not. It seems like a lot of hard work, but the money is there.
In life, I’d like to be set with several investments that provide some sort of income that’s somewhat hands-free for me. I currently own a rental home, and the wife and I have a couple of savings accounts. Eventually though, it’d be nice to have a couple of other streams of income just to have a few extra bucks coming in. If I could make a couple hundred a month off my home, maybe $50/month from websites, $20/month on prosper.com, eventually, these things start adding up! I could then re-invest in different within these areas or expand to other areas and create more streams of income…
Like I said, my mind is racing! I just need to find a way to relax so I can get a good night of rest. I have a lot of reading for school that HAS to get done.
For now, though, I’ll let the mind race for a bit…
